Tour Details
At the appointed time, we’ll meet by the statue of Aleksis Kivi to begin this Christmas tour of Helsinki. Are you ready to discover Finnish traditions?
First, we’ll walk to Helsinki’s iconic Central Station, and from there we’ll stroll along the famous Aleksanterinkatu street to admire its decorated shop windows and the festive lights illuminating the city center.
The walk will continue along the tree-lined Esplanade Park towards the historic Old Market Square, where we’ll discover the aromas of winter cuisine. We’ll also take in the Allas Sea Pool complex with its traditional seaside sauna and the imposing architecture of Uspenski Cathedral.
The highlight of the tour will be a visit to Helsinki’s Christmas Market, a maze of stalls selling traditional crafts and sweets, where we’ll warm up with a comforting glass of glögi, a spiced mulled wine, accompanied by traditional Finnish biscuits.
Finally, after a 2-hour tour, we’ll return to the starting point.
